The JSP R&D team worked with a leading acoustics research facility to develop Sonis® Mounted ear defenders. Electrically insulated side arms enable ‘set and forget’ height adjustment with a rotation feature designed to balance cushion pressure and enhance comfort.
The Sonis® Mounted ear defender range peaks at an unbeaten 36 SNR. Our R&D team fine tune each component, using specialist design and test equipment to refine performance.
Sonis® cushions are made with frequency-optimised foam covered in a soft TPU skin. By rotating as the wearer moves, the side arms ensure even cushion pressure to enhance comfort.
New side arms enable set & forget height adjustment for the perfect fit. The arms rotate independently 15° in each direction, maintaining a consistent seal around the ear.
Sonis® Mounted ear defenders are tested and certified with JSP helmets and EVOGuard® browguards, ensuring the correct level of hearing protection with each model. The side arms are designed to fit with a range of visor systems for combined protection.
The ear defenders are easy to wipe clean. Hygiene kits are available for each model allowing cushions and foam inserts to be replaced.
Sonis® cups can be printed with a company logo using the JSP Logo Express® service. MOQs apply.
The JSP R&D team design for sustainability, developing durable, reusable products with effortless maintenance.
dB stands for decibel. A decibel is a unit of sound level and noise exposure measurement. It uses a logarithmic scale to reflect sound intensity. High dB levels can lead to hearing damage if not managed properly. Hearing protection is essential in high-noise environments.
SNR stands for Single Number Rating. It is used to show how much noise ear defenders reduce in decibels. To use it, subtract the SNR from the overall noise level. The result estimates the sound pressure level reaching the ear. It is a simplified method and may not reflect complex noise environments.
Ear defenders can last up to 5 years with proper care and storage. Cushions and foams can be replaced to extend usability. Regular inspections are important to check for damage. If the cups or headband are cracked or split, replace the entire ear defender.
Wipe clean with warm, soapy water or use JSP/anti-bacterial wipes. Do not use abrasive cleaning products. Replaceable parts help prolong the life of ear defenders. Sonis® hygiene kits offer replacement cushions, plates, and foams. Inspect regularly for cracks or splits; replace the product if damaged.
JSP offers mounted ear defenders for combined head and hearing protection. Universal helmet slots on JSP helmets accommodate Sonis® ear defenders. Designed for compatibility and comfort in industrial environments. Ensures compliance with safety regulations without compromising usability.
